PSRG Rain or Shine Net (S8E1)

Banana Bread Throwdown!

The Puget Sound Repeater Group has scheduled their first Rain or Shine of Season 8, and this one is special.

A Banana Bread Throwdown!!  If you'd like to participate in what is sure to be a delicious competition, you are free to bring your favorite banana bread.  Participation is completely optional; banana bread is not required to attend.

If you are coming, remember the weather can be uncertain, so bring layers for the cold and a hat and sunscreen for that sunny day.  A camp chair or two is also recommended.  Your well-behaved pup is welcome as well, just keep 'em leashed.

The image above contains the deets, but here they are so you can copy/paste this into your calendar app.

📣
Who? EVERYONE is invited!!
What? PSRG Rain or Shine net, Season 8, Episode 1
When? April 4, 2026
Where?  Lake Boren Park, 13058 SE 84th Way, Newcastle WA
How? Anyway you can.

The setup crew will be there around 9-9:30am, but you can come and go as you please.  They will start the Noon Net from the park at (you guessed it) Noon.  They haven't said when the judging for the Banana Bread Throwdown will be, so best come early enough with your entry.

If you have trouble finding the crowd, there will be plenty of helpful folks on the PSRG 2-meter repeater (146.96/-/103.5) to help talk you in.

This one sounds like a blast.  In the N7YD house, that Saturday is pretty busy, but we're going to try to make this one.  It sounds like fun.
